I love singing, so of course there should be a tag about that.

OK, it's decision time. It's obvious that the amount of activities I've had lately came with consequences. I'm hardly at home before late most of the week days, I've a hard time making time to be with Eva, let alone take care of my own home. It's just too damn much, and generally deteriorating.

So, I've decided to take a break from the choir. Yes, I know, I was all excited a year ago, but the way things look right now, it's a luxuary I can't uphold anymore, if I want to stay healthy.

I'm also going to cut down on the time I spend at Stacken unless I can find a way to stay in focus with the stuff I work on. I could, for example, only appear every second week...

I've taken up singing in a choir again! I've been thinking about going back to my old (1991-1996) choir for a year, but didn't dare because of the way I left it in '96 (I sneaked out within saying a word to anyone).

Last saturday became a turning point. I was invited to the party that was thrown for the choir's leader (still the same), and while we were all singing for him, I felt a great pull, a few tears fell and I felt another part of me had found home again. A sweet, sweet moment. A couple of hours later, I asked the leader if there was a need for a tenor (a silly question, really. There's always a need for more tenors), and said that I'm 90% sure I want to start again.

So, after thinking about it for a few more days, I went to today's rehearsal (actually, yesterday's at this time of writing). I found myself at home immediately. This is good. I haven't been singing at all for 8 years, and it feels real good to be back.
