There's Facebook, there's Twitter, there are personal chats (MSN, Jabber/XMPP/Gchat, IRC, ...), there are all kinds of forums...

There's enough to fill your entire time if you want... and it sometimes seems like some do exactly that.

There's been kind of an explosion in the last few years, I've a number of friends who are on Facebook and on Twitter and on gods know what more. I've tried it myself, I do have a Twitter account but have found that I almost never use it, it simply hasn't caught on for me, although I've given it a few tries; I do have a Facebook account as well, which I do use, but less than before. Were they all really just new and shiny, and now the interest for them is dwindling? Could be.

Mi sees a different trend among her friends, that they seem to stop blogging and move on to Facebook, Twitter and so on... and maybe that's what I've done for a time, I dunno.

Right now, I seem to be in some kind of middle path, and have to make choices, find a new balance. After all, I've only got so much time. I don't think I'll be leaving Facebook, there are just too many people there that I want to stay connected with, but perhaps my activity there will diminish a bit. I do think that I'll toss Twitter since I've basically never really used it anyway.
